Tommy Ryan Lee has been licensed to practice law in the State of California since 1978. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts in both the Northern and Central District of California. Tommy was a JAG clerk in the U.S. Army prior to graduation from law school, and he worked for Carrow, Jones, Forrest, Appel and Jordan, as a litigation paralegal. After he passed the bar, he went to work as the Vice President and Human Resources and Equal Opportunity Officer for L. Ferdig and Company Inc. and started his own firm in Novato in 1982 and specialized in criminal defense matters, representing some very high profile clients.
Tommy has served on the Board of Directors of the Novato Chamber of Commerce and was a founding member of their Ambassadors Club. He served on the Board of Directors of the Marin County Bar Association, and on the Board of Directors for the Novato Rotary Club, and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Lee has been honored for his services as Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year by the Marin County Bar Association and offers his services for free to the Marin County Community Court representing homeless people. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Novato Human Needs Center. Tommy is also a past President of the North Marin Breakfast Club. In 1996, he incorporated his business under the name of Tommy Ryan Lee, a Professional Corporation. Tommy has been practicing law for almost thirty-eight years and now practices in the area of general civil litigation, with an emphasis in probate, real property, construction, insurance and business matters. He received his B.S. from Sonoma State University and his J.D. from Lincoln University. Tommy is married, and has three grown children.
